Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Consultant/ Senior Engineer with deep expertise in the energy sector to join our growing team. This individual will lead and contribute to high-impact consulting projects focused on grid transformation and decarbonization. Ideal candidates have a strong technical foundation, an analytical mindset, and a collaborative approach to client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Lead or support project delivery across one or more of our focus areas:
- Integrated Resource & Grid Planning
- Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Integration
- Grid Reliability and Resiliency Strategy
- Data Center Grid Interconnection
- Regulatory Advisory and Policy Analysis
- Grid Analytics and Decision Support
 

  • Conduct electrical engineering studies, including power flow analysis on both distribution and transmission systems, as well as transient and fault current analyses

  • Conduct scenario analysis, cost-benefit studies, regulatory filings, and stakeholder engagement

  • Develop client deliverables: memos, presentations, and technical reports

  • Guide junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing

  • Present findings to clients, regulators, and public agencies

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and grid innovation
     

Qualifications:
 

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Public Policy, or a related field

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the energy or utility sector

  • Strong understanding of grid planning, DERs, electrification, or utility regulatory frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical or policy-driven energy projects

  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and regulatory proceedings

  • Excellent writing, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Expertise in using power system analysis tools for electrical power system infrastructure projects and studies:  PowerWorld, PSLF, CYME, Python, R, or Tableau
