Position Overview

We are seeking a Consultant / Engineer – Energy Systems to support and deliver high-impact consulting engagements focused on grid modernization, DER integration, and energy system planning. This role is well-suited for candidates with a solid technical or analytical foundation who are looking to grow into project leadership roles within a collaborative consulting environment.


Key Responsibilities

Support project delivery across one or more of the following areas:

  • Integrated Resource Planning and Distribution System Planning

  • Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration and analysis

  • Grid reliability, resilience, and electrification studies

  • Data center and large-load interconnection analysis

  • Regulatory and policy research and advisory support

  • Grid analytics and decision-support tools

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Support electrical engineering analyses, including power flow and capacity studies on distribution or transmission systems

  • Perform scenario analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and data-driven evaluations

  • Develop client-facing deliverables such as memos, presentations, and technical reports

  • Assist with stakeholder engagement, workshops, and regulatory support activities

  • Collaborate with senior staff and contribute to internal knowledge development


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Public Policy, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the energy or utility sector

  • Foundational understanding of grid planning, DERs, electrification, or utility regulatory processes

  • Experience supporting technical, analytical, or policy-focused energy projects

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with one or more analytical or visualization tools such as CYME, PowerWorld, Python, R, Excel, or Tableau

  • Interest in growing technical depth and client-facing responsibilities
